The Spanish Navy amphibious ship L-51, the Galicia, will call at the port of Valencia to offer support in the rescue work due to the passage of the DANA in the Valencian Community. The ship, which left the port of Rota (Cadiz), will provide accommodation for the military personnel deployed in Valencia.
It will also provide another 100 troops from the Tercio de la Armada in the affected areas with food, water, trucks and support material, as well as a helicopter.
The Valencian Community continues with the rescue work to find those missing after the passage of the DANA, as well as to remove the debris from the affected streets and roads. So far, the death toll has risen to 214 on Sunday, although this figure is expected to rise as some of the flooded car parks are drained.
